Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
When you enter a name or a birth date into one of the search tools on this site, that input goes to the outside provider running the search. The provider processes it and returns results. We do not keep or log what you typed.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If you email us, we keep the message so we can write back. It stays with our team. We do not pass it to anyone outside our organization unless a legal obligation requires it.
Data We Gather Automatically
Each time a page on this site loads, our servers record some technical details about the visit:
- The IP address your device is using
- Your browser and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- Which pages you opened and how long you stayed
- The site that referred you here, if there was one
- A timestamp for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
This site uses cookies, which are small files stored on your device. They show us which pages get the most traffic and where visitors tend to leave. Analytics services help us combine that traffic into reports. You can block cookies in your browser settings at any time, though some parts of the site may behave differently if you do.
What We Do With This Data
- Keeping the site online and loading quickly
- Passing your search request to the right partner service
- Learning which pages help people and which need work
- Finding and fixing technical problems
- Showing advertising that may relate to your interests
No Warrant Data on File
This site does not host, compile, maintain, or sell warrant databases or personal warrant records. We publish general guidance about where Crawford County warrant records are held and how to check them with the sheriff's office, the courts that issue orders, and the state case portal. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and nothing we collect about visitors is turned into consumer reports or files about other people.
Third-Party Search Partners
Search boxes on this site are run by outside companies. Whatever you enter into those tools is handled under the partner's privacy policy rather than this one. Those partners set their own retention and sharing practices, and we do not control them. Read the partner's policy before you submit a search.
Links to Other Websites
We link to court pages, sheriff's office pages, state resources, legal aid groups, and outside search tools. Following one of those links takes you off this site, and the privacy policy of that site then applies to your visit. Read it before you share personal details.
Some advertising partners may track activity across sites to show targeted ads. That tracking runs on their systems rather than ours.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Some information may reach:
- Search partners that handle the queries you run here
- Analytics services that measure traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place advertising on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
We use standard security practices to protect what we collect. No system connected to the internet is perfect, so we cannot promise that a breach will never happen. We do what we reasonably can to keep your information secure.
Users Under 18
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us data, contact us and we will remove it.
Your Data Rights
Michigan's public-records law, the Freedom of Information Act at MCL 15.231, gives people a route to request records from a government body. It does not create the same rights against a private website. For data held by this site, you can still ask us to:
- Provide a copy of what we hold about you
- Correct information that is wrong
- Delete your data
- Stop certain kinds of processing
Updates to This Policy
We may revise this policy as the site changes. When we do, the new version appears on this page with a fresh effective date. Check back if you want to follow how we handle information.
Effective date: September 15, 2026
